My dearest Azade,
This is one of your high school classmates who like you left Iran at almost the same time you left. I remember how hardworking you were, always sitting in a single wooden chair in front of the class, reading English books while the teachers were teaching the materials you already knew. You were always on top of every topic and all teachers loved you. I am thrilled to see how much you have thrived in this short period of time and I am glad that I have the chance to get to know you better. I congratulate you in becoming such a competent woman who writes such enlightening articles and is successful in her life.
When I heard the news about your beloved father, I tried to contact you by different means, but was unsuccessful; I hope you get the chance to see this message. I want you to know that I am truly sorry for what happened, I know this is the hardest time in your life, I wish there was something I could do to lessen your grief. Please accept my sincere condolences, God bless his soul and bring peace to your hearts.
I wish for your happiness, success and health dearest today and always. Please remember that you have many friends whom you may not even know or remember that will always love you and support you.

Azadeh,

I am a friend of your cousin's. I heard about your uncle through a very personal and intimate conversation with her a couple months ago. I decided to choreograph a dance about/for Siamak, with humble respect for him and his family.

I wanted to contact you before my dance is performed. The show opens next Friday, February 10th 2012. It is at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. I am going to try to contact you by email as well in case you don't check this too often...please feel free to contact me or not, I just felt that I had to let you know I was doing this piece before it goes on stage.

Thank you,
Stephanie
